Last updated May 28, 2026. This policy explains how SnapUpload handles merchant data, customer upload data, and operational records.
1. Who We Are
SnapUpload provides a Shopify app that lets merchants collect, process, scan, store, export, and manage customer-uploaded files for custom products and post-purchase workflows.
For questions about this policy or privacy requests, contact us at support@snapupload.app.
2. Information We Process
Merchant account information: shop domain, app installation data, subscription plan, settings, upload form configuration, integration settings, support messages, and app usage events needed to operate the service.
Customer and order information: order identifiers, product and line item references, customer email addresses when needed for post-purchase upload links, and upload status data.
Uploaded files: images, PDFs, documents, archives, videos, design files, notes, image URLs, and metadata submitted through merchant-configured upload forms.
Technical information: IP-derived security signals, request logs, browser/device information, error logs, malware scan results, and delivery status for operational and abuse-prevention purposes.
3. How We Use Information
We use information to provide upload widgets, link uploads to Shopify orders or line items, send post-purchase upload emails, generate secure download links and ZIP files, scan files for malware, export files to connected services such as Google Drive, provide support, maintain security, and improve reliability.
We do not sell merchant data, customer data, or uploaded files. We do not use uploaded customer files for advertising.
4. Shopify Data and Protected Customer Data
SnapUpload requests only the Shopify scopes needed to operate the app. When order linking or post-purchase upload emails are enabled, the app may process protected customer data such as customer email addresses and order details.
Merchants are responsible for configuring upload forms and ensuring their use of SnapUpload complies with their own privacy notices, customer promises, and applicable laws.
5. File Storage, Security, and Retention
Uploaded files are stored in private object storage and are accessed through authenticated app screens or time-limited signed links. Merchant ZIP downloads exclude files that are marked unsafe by malware scanning.
Merchants can configure retention controls to delete older customer files. We may also delete data when an app is uninstalled, a subscription ends, a retention period expires, or deletion is required for security, legal, or operational reasons.
6. Integrations and Subprocessors
SnapUpload may use trusted infrastructure and service providers for hosting, database storage, object storage, email delivery, malware scanning, analytics, logging, DNS/TLS routing, and optional integrations selected by the merchant.
If a merchant connects Google Drive, SnapUpload uses the connection only to export merchant-selected upload files and related folders. Merchants can disconnect integrations from the app settings.
7. International Transfers
Information may be processed in countries where SnapUpload or its service providers operate. We use reasonable safeguards designed to protect information when it is transferred or processed internationally.
8. Your Rights and Requests
Merchants can access, update, export, or delete many records directly in the app. For privacy, deletion, or access requests that cannot be completed in the app, contact support@snapupload.app.
Customers should usually contact the merchant they purchased from first, because the merchant controls the customer relationship and the reason files were collected.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as SnapUpload changes. Material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
